Hello all,

I have had psoriasis for 20 years now and have tried all types of methods
to deal with it. This ranges from Chinese herbal medicine, light therapy and
all the creams and ointments that go with it! I have however stumbled across
a treatment that is so far had amazing results. I had read in the local paper
about low dose naltrexone and its use with psoriasis patients. I've been taking
1mg nightly now for 3 weeks and my psoriasis has gone from being very thick
and scaly, to what it is now...smooth and a little red. This is by far the
best treatment i have been on and would just like to let you all know about
it. Not sure if i can post pictures but i have some if anyone wants to see
results!!

Kind regards

David

Showing great results on ldn, been on the drug for 6 weeks now, started off at 1ml now up to 3, ive no thick patches of p anywhere now just slight redness. The doc says this will be next to go. Soooo happy with the results....this is the first time in years ive been able to manage my p for this length of time. £15 per month but well worth it!!! Looking forward to summer!

I was told about ldn from the newspaper, i visit a private clinc and they prescribe the drug. The drug is a liquid and is taken by mouth each night. Ldn is an opioid blocker which means it blocks endorphins receptors so the body produces more in response to this. This is somehow related to tcell production and greatly helps with p. You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login has lots of info.

The reason we have to go private i believe is the cost of ldn is so minimal coupled with the fact the fda approved it many years ago meaning none of the larger pharmaceutical company's can cash in on this.

Is LDN still going well for you?  I take it you are north of the border?  Can't seem to find any clinics south of the border using this treatment.  There was a conference about the treatment (not just for p) last Saturday - maybe it will come to the fore for a proper clinical trial.  Sounds really interesting, but would mean a big commitment to get a consultation, follow up prescriptions etc. from so far away!

The ldn is an amazing drug, ive had no side effects and have absolutely no raised patches anywhere on my body, i was about 60% covered, the redness is now starting to dissapear now so hopefully it will keep progressing and clear up completely. I actually ran out of the drug and done without for 4 days in which time my p got worse, once i was back on it got back on track. There was a conference last saturday but i was unable to make it, i hear there was the doc from this morning attending so much be worth while keeping an eye on that prog for any info. You will have to go for 1 consultation, 1 month later another one then every 3 months. I believe glasgow in the only place to obtain a prescription for the drug. I'm up at 3ml per day now so i should see the best results in the next few weeks as 3mls is the ideal dosage as long as the patient can handle it.

I meant to add they send the medication out via post, passes the prescription to the pharmacy and takes payment via card so you wont have to do anything!
