Stu, that sounds like its not helping the arthritis, the heat as you know is a sign of increased inflammation, hope it gets better over the next 2 weeks, how stable is your arthritis normally?

a much cheaper option for presciption for ldn, rather than private consultation may be:

You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login

£20 registration, £15 for 3 month prescription...then just pay for £15pm ldn/shipping from
dicksons in glasgie.

you will need your gp/derm to draft an official letterheaded note stating your condition
and that they are happy for you to try the ldn....

taken from e-med website:
How to obtain a prescription for LDN through e-med

In order for us to provide a prescription for Low Dose Naltrexone (LDN), you must first join e-med. The join form is in three sections: Personal details; Medical details; and Payment details. There is an annual charge of £20 for being an e-med member.

Once this form is submitted, we will email a reply to you within 4 working hours with your membership number and password. This email will also contain a link to the LDN prescription request form, which will ask you questions specific to your condition. Once this second form is submitted, the doctor will review your details and respond within 4 working hours.

Before prescribing LDN for the first time, we will also require written notification from your GP or consultant confirming you have been diagnosed with multiple sclerosis (MS). This can be scanned and emailed to us, faxed to 0207 806 4029, or posted to our usual address.

If the doctor decides that a prescription is suitable, we will post this either to yourself or to a pharmacy of your choice. Not all pharmacies can do this, so it's important you approach one that does. Likewise, there is a wide variation in pricing for LDN, anything from £15 to £150 a month. As a result, many people opt to have the prescription sent directly to Dicksons Pharmacy in Glasgow (their telephone number is 0141 647 8032). We charge £15 per prescription issued and normally prescribe a 3 month supply of LDN. You can then contact the pharmacy to purchase the medication directly from them and arrange to have it delivered to yourself. Please note that e-med have no control over the cost of the actual medication.

Please Note: We usually prescribe LDN for Multiple Sclerosis (MS). If you require LDN for something other than MS, please provide details on the Information Request Form to check we will be able to prescribe LDN for your condition before joining.

cheers

i think that way will cost you more pie because that way you still have to go and see a private gp to get the letter (they wont prescribe you without seeing you i dont think they are allowed, only allowed follow ups by phone). So youd end up paying more.

As far as i know the glasgow clinic can cost up to 450 pounds for consultationsplus the petrol/air fare there. There are guys in london who do  it for 100 pounds. The glasgow pharmacy is still the cheapest around and has best repuation.

Dose: the glasgow clinic starts most people on 1mg and increases after a month or so up to about 3.5mg.

Me: joints not as hot or stiff, though skin hasnt improved. Nails do look better though. On day 10.

hopefully not stew, e-med are only asking for a letter from my current derm/gp confirming my P and that they are happy for me to try ldn...
e-meds doc will review by webcam/email before decidng to prescribe it....
i'm hoping i don't have to physically travel to get a prescription...
i'll let u guys know in due course.

"the happy to try LDN" constitutes prescribing
and i doubt they will do it mate.

Your best bet is to get to the guy in north london
