Hi Manxie

As Rosie says try to take the psoralen on a full stomach, something that fills you up is good.. I had my puva first thing in the morning and ate porridge and bananas as that was all I could face.. still felt a bit queasy but not to bad...

Good Luck...

First time I took psorelan I was absutely fine on it (and i was taking MTX at the same time!).

Second time I took it I suffered terribly and it made me feel awful (and no MTX!).

I tried the eating thing and it helped a little.

But did you know that there is an alternative to psorelan, there is another tablet/s you can take that do the same thing but do not cause nausea?  It might be worth asking about them if you can't handle the nausea yourself.

I was never actually sick, but it made me feel lousy.

But if you are suffering severe nausea (and you are!!!), ask to change from the 8/5 MOP Psoralen to 8MOP trimethoxypsoralen (TMP). This is the alternative drug used for patients who suffer as badly as you.

Have they not asked how you are doing or have you not told them how sick you are?
