Hmmm
Iodine as a treatment for P?
Not a conclusion I would leap to and if you read more of the thread there are some reasonable objections to it's use.
Also this proffessor, what is he a proffessor of?
I would not agree that P's cause is a fungus, where is the evidence and clinical trials to prove it.
TBH I think this proffessor is voicing his medical opinion, at best, or an untested theory. Else there would be reports, lab tests etc to back it up.
Yes sometimes a fungal infection is connected with P and there are already meds that will treat that available via prescription.
As far as I can remember my chemistry lessons, Iodine is from the same family of elements as Chlorine and we all know how chlorine affects us.

For me the crucial test of any treatment for P is how it behaves in the long term as far too many of the treatments that work quickly have steroids in them or only have a short term effect, ie removal of current leisions and do nothing to stop them returning which is far from a cure and achieves a temporary clearance at best so before leaping to conclusions of the success of a treatment they need to be assessed over time in a scientific manner.
