every derm ive seen has been very kind and understanding far different from the many gps over the years.

many people just do not understand how awfull having p makes you feel , so many times i have been told it could be worse or its not life threatning.

easy said certainly not easy done

Thanks, guys. You've really given me some more options to think about. Compared to others I'm sure my psoriasis isn't bad at all, it just seems to have always loved my face, for some reason! Not that great when you're trying to face the world and be confident.

Anyway I may just see how things go for a while, maybe try calendula cream, possibly protopic/dovonex for a while again, then talk to the doc about meds options.

Always very helpful to get feedback from others! Thank you  :)

Hi Lelly

When I had p on my face, my derm prescribed Protopic to use every evening and Eumovate cream in the morning (so it was easier to apply make-up!). It did work, so might be worth a try  :)

As an alternative to protopic, a product called Elidel is also very good. Its a cream rather than an ointment however the active ingredient is quite similar to protopic. You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login

I had a bad experience with Elidel. It worked when I used it for the face, quite quickly, but then when I stopped it the rebound flare was terrible! So be careful, maybe a gradual weaning from it would prevent a flare?
