Queries and questions...
« on: September 25, 2003, 05:27:22 PM »
Sorry if this has been dragged up many times before. I am not too lazy to go looking through the history files - honestly! I just thought that as new people join new ideas and thoughts come... sorry i will get on with the questions...

Deodorant or Anti-Persperant...

I went to Glastonbury back in the summer - five days without a shower...eeek! So i bought some Deo-wipes. Big mistake. I was fine until about a week later then under my arms went beserk. Painful P it was.

I use Sure usually. I had trouble a few years ago when they made the can Ozone friendly. Whatever was changed didnt suit me but now i can tolerate it again. Recently i tried the Sanex Dermo Protection one - it didnt seem to irritate the skin but didnt work particularily well. So now i am on NatrelPlus and i am a little sore again.

(this is a long winded question isnt it)

So what do people out there use and what have people found to be pure evil?

Also - any science type dudes or dudettes out there could you explain why when my psoriasis is a reaction to something like deodorant and i change that product does my skin clear up?

It is probably the best reaction i ever see in my skin. The thought of my other patches just going away in a few days is quite ludicrous and yet i sort of expect it under the arms. Strange!

Okay sorry to warble on...

One last question - has anyone ever heard of someone deciding to live on a sun-drenched deserted island for a year to see how it changes thier skin? Salt water - fresh air and no stress oh and no people around. I cant think of a more perfect detox for the entire body and spirit. So if anyone has heard of this what happened?

Thanks

Neil

I find the 'mum' fragrance free roll on is fine on me ~no reaction at all.
The only other that is ok is Yves Rocher Hamamelis range which you have to get mail order~also roll on.
Its not expensive either.

Lots of people get a reaction - soreness - to anti perspirants, it's a common complaint and not just for p people.  Eczema and sensitive skins get it bad also.

I'm off to book a flight to a random island..................
