Had my second infusion today and again was given antihistamine at the same time to reduce any reactions All went well, I met other people on remicade at the hospital, some with ulcerative colitis and some with psoriasis , all have had amazing results with little or no side effects. Although long term side effects are not yet known there is no doubt that this really is a fast acting wonder drug and can change life quality very quickly.
Over the last 10 years or so I have been to the dead sea, taken MTX, cyclosporine, Embrel and so on , all have helped and I have had clearance from dead sea trips, but this drug is a whole new ball game as I am now  100% clear for the first time in 14 years.

It is fab isn't it?  I go for infusion number 3 next week, it will have been a month since the last one, and my skin is stll really clear.  The p hasn't started to come back at all as yet.  I'm hoping that as it will have been a month, then I won't feel so knackered afterwards, I have a long, important day at work the next day!

Side effects.
14 days after first infusion, still 100% clear but my whole body came up in deep red rash for about an hour yesterday accompanied by itching. For the last week I have had more headaches than usual and for the last 24 hours or so this has turned into a migraine.hmm

I had a really itchy rash too, it started at my feet and worked its way up to my arms.  It soon went though.

Hello All,
New to this room.  But a few years back I took Remicad, fast results, positive but after about 8 months had some side effects, numbness.  Was immediately taken off Remicad.  I still have the numbness in  my toes.  Just be careful and notify doctor ASAP of side effects.

But those 8 months I felt and looked wonderful.  I have to say after the first injection I noticed a difference with just a few a week.  WOW.

Thanks tom, will remember that. I am still 100% clear and having 3rd infusion next week. I  did have a very itchy dark red rash from head to toe yesterday, but it only lasted 45mins and went as quick as it came. Apart from that I am feeling ok, trying not to worry about side effects, short or long term and enjoying normal life.
Happy new year to you all.
