Hi there - been meaning to post but last few weeks (months even!) have been crazy at work.
Anyway - here's what's been happening over last couple of weeks.
Not a drastic improvement that other people may report but I do feel it is improving slowly...
11th Dec: Improvement around face. Some resistant patches near eye and eyebrow have disappeared but near scalp line and behind ears still stubbornly remaining.
18th Dec: Not much change from above. Legs definitely less scaley and noticed improvements on hands and feet. Nails still pretty bad.
19-22nd Dec: Arms getting a little worse but I put that down to 3 Christmas parties, too much beer and not enough water. However, overall it's still pretty good. Stubborn areas include small patches behind ears, patches below elbox and bottom part of back. Nails flared up - not sure if I've just been unlucky and had infection above nails but strange thing was they all flared at same time. Very painful above cuticles - but sure this is not down to Stelara.
23rd Dec: Improvement all on cuticles (swelling down) except right hand little finger. Bottom of back and top sides of legs on bum not improving. Left arm still a little itchey and not much improvement since I stopped UVB. However, with all that said Stelara is making an overall small improvement. It's difficult as UVB is a short term way to improve skin and I started Stelara after my skin had improved quite a bit from UVB. 2nd injection next Friday and I'm fairly confident I'm going to see more improvement.
Wrt arranging for nurses to come round to inject I'm having a problem getting this organised. When the first injection was arranged a nurse mentioned she would be round on Boxing Day evening. After an initial 4 chasers I've now got a date of 30th Dec - but no time. I've chased a further 3 times to get a time after being told a nurse will ring me on a particular day to arrange and not hearing anything. Rather annoying as the previous nurse told me I should've been ready with the injection 30mins out of fridge when she arrived (she was obviously in a big rush). I felt like explaining I risked having the Stelara sitting in a warm room for over 30mins whilst I waited for a nurse who was obviously running behind schedule - didn't bother as I'm needle phobic and didn't want her taking it out on me with a nasty jab

Worth taking some photos to benchmark any change. It's difficult to notice any improvement as you live in your skin day on day. My wife says she notices improvement - so might be worth you getting someone else to opine on any change in your skin.
Hopefully it will kick in soon for you. However, with Christmas coming up and all alchohol and over eating that normally comes at this time of year you may not see any significant improvement until the New Year - but fingers crossed anyway!
I'll try and post a bit more and interested in hearing how you get along too. Having tried and failing with Humira I'm really hoping this does the trick.
Merry Christmas!
