what can i ask derm to prescribe to use on my scalp?

hiya guys, on fumaderm at the moment, slowly but surely working its magic but my scalp is still quite bad - not as bad and lots better, but still bad. used scc sal cap ?? is that right? i think it is, and betnovate scalp solution in the past plus lots of other stuff etc but its never worked

The issue i have is when i do use stuff on my scalp my hair comes away with the plaques, i am not pulling the plaques off - i left olive oil on for 72 hours and kept reapplying - didnt even leave the house - oohh the peace i had lol, but same happened the hair came away with the plaques

I have quite bad hair loss that i cant cover a patch right on the top of my head and small ones at the front..is there anyway i can get rid of teh p on my scalp without loosing most of my hair??

Sorry Angela I really don't know what to suggest.  When my scalp used to be bad I had this clear lotion (something makes me think it was dovonex)   but it stung me so bad, I couldn't bear to have it on very often or very long.  Scalp P has very rarely been a major problem for me.

Hopefully someone else will have some proper advice for you

it is a game of try and see what helps you

? why hasn't your derm referred you to a trichologist
i take it they prescribed/tried head/uvb light treatment/dovobet etc
have they ruled out fumaderm as a cause ie with a kown side effect like hair loss !

if 72hrs of repeated olive oil and your hair still falls out after shampoo/wash 
i suppose it will be the same for baby oil/coconut oil/ hemp oil /emu oil etc etc

ps have you tried olive oil etc  under occlusion IE a shower cap

i haven't much on top now lost a lot due to mtx
i use dovobet & capasal shampoo

 a low % dithranol and even puva are ment to be  good hair restart/regrow

I've been using olive oil on my scalp for a couple of days, i do think its making a difference.....the scalp seems to be calmed down.

Won't look at olive oil in the same way again tho lol
