Wheatgrass follow up
« on: July 19, 2003, 02:02:39 PM »
In June, I mentioned 3 cases of psoriasis I had posted on my website. who were doing quite well using a wheatgrass spray. I have used this extract extensively in eczema with considerable success, but my clinical experience using it with psoriasis has been quite limited. Nonetheless, last week, one of these patients returned for review who had used the spray for twelve months. He has done extremely well, and since his lesions have faded significantly, I am glad to say his self-confidence has taken a remarkable turn for the better. He is looking forward to summer (southern hemisphere), when he can hang out in a t-shirt and a pair of shorts for the first time in 10 years. But what he also said, was that the most important thing of all was that because he can just apply the wheatgrass whenever he needs it, that is, he can treat himself, he feels wonderfully empowered. (his words not mine). Needless to say, I am equally delighted for his sake. I'm not making any claims - just think it is encouraging to see some improvement. If psoriasis is an autoimmune condition, then it would make sense for the wheatgrass to have some efficacy, if my theory that it acts as a topical immunomodulator is reasonably correct.
I've posted the latest photos of R.S. on my website if anyone wants to take a look.

Have a pleasant summer. It's pretty chilly here in Melbourne!
