19 .. Really want my Tattoo done.. should I?

Am 19 .. Designed a tattoo for myself years ago of a Phoenix coming out from a flame .. have always wanted it

Would this make things worse?
would It be worth it?
Anyone got any tattoos/ tattoo stories? x

6 tattoos, no problems!one got a nasty infection, but that was all my fault for not following the advice. a tattois wont do it over an are with p on it tho, so wait till its cleared a bit or go for an area that unaffected (if you have one) happy inking!

never regretted having any of  them

If you look through the many tattoo threads on here you will see there are mixed reactions as is the case with everything P related.  I have 4 however and they've all been fine.  Number 5 happens in October! 

Just make sure you go to a reputable tattooist.  If they have a long waiting list that's generally a good sign.

hi becca 6 tattoos no problems. i totally agree with whats been said on here find a reputable tattoist becasu once its on its permanent so you want to get it right first time. good luck

Yeah there's loads of threads on tattoos here giving good advice on how to go about it

P reaction seems to be a bit unpredictable from person to person (there's a surprise!). 

I got a small (4") black tattoo on my back 4 weeks ago and its causing an outbreak of guttate round that area plus its slowly being over taken with P because of Koebner effect so there's definitely risk involved.

i have a tat on a place where i have never had P
so far its been fine its been there 3 years but.....
i would say its is a little risky.
you just hav to weigh up the pros and cons and decide
if its a risk worth taking.

If you tend to get P where you have had a cut or scratch almost straight away then I would avoid getting a Tat, otherwise I would say go for it!!

don't do it, tats arn't cool. they look ok when new but soft after a few years.

My advice .. go for it.  But do so on a clear area of skin as the dye rather than the needle may cause irritation. 

This subject has been dealt with lots of times - found this older thread which might give some helpful advice.
