hey Kitty, never tried alphosyl, but i did use diprosalyc ointment along with dovenex oint per scribed by my gp, it worked alright, it was a long time ago,
apparently the diprosalyc can make the dovenex lose effectiveness if you mix the two so my derm discontinued the treatment. diprosalyc worked  well with softening heavy plaques on knees and elbows, but once thick areas are smooth i would discontinue as it would probably irritate the area and make the p worse, anyway if you are getting really thick plaques i would use dip but if not i would stay away from it. I realize i actually didnt even answer your post regarding the two meds you were inquring about but i thought i would mention my experience with the diprosalyc ointment,
actually the diprosalyc lotion was the last treatment i used on scalp psoriasis almost 15 years ago and my scalp has been clear ever since, weird but i hope it never comes back on my head. anyway ill stop jabbering now, good luck

I used alphosyl HC for years - helped a fair bit I think, at the time. Think I used it round hairline and ears.

I have used diprosalic in the past  - as a combination treatment with cocois for scalp, then used the dip scalp solution which did the trick and probably kept it at bay for months.  I never use steroids now - and in fact haven't used them a lot anyway .... but once in a while I reckon they are pretty ok and might just be persuaded to use again if it gets too bad on scalp.

Sorry can't help with alphosyl hc - dunno that one.

Wishing you well

Diprosalic worked wonders for my scalp P. Can you get it for general use on skin in ointment or cream form ?

Looking for a big change to my treatment regime. Will post tomorrow on my thoughts, although might be a bit against the grain. I need a big change, got a massive flare right now following UVB and am desperate for relief. I think Im'e gonne go back to basics, well sort of. Not got time to elaborate now, but later.

Best regards
