Another New Member!!

Hi all

My 7 yr old daughter has P, mostly on her scalp but has had it on her back, arms etc... I first noticed the scalp P when she was 4 & took her to the doc, as u do!  Unfortunatley by the time the doc sussed out what it actually was & referred her to a dermatologist the P covered all of her scalp & most of her back & arms!!  We then had a 3 week stay in hospital (our nearest hospital is over 60 miles away) where they used the usual coal tar & steriod treatments.  After 3yrs & lots of advice from docs & other P sufferers we now seem to be keeping it under control most of the time!!  But because my daughter is only 7 a lot of the products avail. we can't use.  Anyone in the same situation?  If so I would really appreciate any advice.

Welcome.

Sorry to hear that your little girl has had such a rough time.

There are a few others here whose children are p sufferers and I'm sure they will be along with some advice.

I imagine that the vit D based preparations such as Dovonex would be an option to discuss.
