argh me face
« on: January 09, 2004, 08:53:50 PM »
My 13 year old sister seems to find it extremely enjoyable to point all the 'spots' on my face. Whereas they are actually huge plaques of Psoriasis that seemed to have appeared on just about every conceivable surface of my face in the last few weeks.

Am starting to get v depressed by her pointing it out and cried about it earlier. Hate my skin

Just remember - siblings were put on this planet to irritate you until they are about 17, then (hopefully) they become friends.  This happened with my sis!

I know how you feel about your face, I had an interview today and was trying desperately to cover it up. Hopefully as the weather starts to ease up your face will too.  Earliest spring ever predicted in the paper today... :P

Chin up hun.... your date loves your face obviously

We all hate our skin - just we get more depressed about it when:
1. Someone points it out
2. We have time to think about it

My sister doesn't have p but when she used to point my bits out - I just used to say "well, at least I'm not short" or some equally cutting snide remark back.... soon shut her up.

(not that there's anything wrong with being short but I'm about 5-6 inches taller than her and she HATED it cos I'm 3 yrs younger and everyone else thought i was older than her ;D)

It's all part of the sister banter I'm afraid hun

Keep smiling  :-* :-* :-*

Hugest hugs Dani, my face (forehead) is starting to island now, I have rough Idea how you're feeling!

I'm trying not to worry about it, as hard as that is, i know worry is just going to make things worse!

Thinking of you...

no amount of cover up is helping.

Its got to the point where my make up enters the room 10 minutes before I do and my P is still showing red through the lot! grrrrrrr

Sister saw post though and is now leaving me alone ;D

 [smiley=smileyhug.gif] Dani

My face has been P-less for about one week this year (four days after coming home from Lanzarote, and funnily enough, the three days before, during and after the FB in may ;D - fellow flakies are healing company it seems ;D), the rest of the time it's been more or less covered in P and bright red.... so I know how you feel :-*

Have you tried saying to her how much it hurts when she points it out? There's just a little chance she may realize it's really not a nice thing to do? ???

If she doesn't..... kick her ;D

;) :-*

errrrrr..... thanks!!

Had a chat with my sis, she got the hint, though did giggle at me this morning when I rose from my pit with a huge red scab on my face where I'd picked it in my sleep. She only thought it was funny coz I was totally oblivious to it!! It was quite amusing when I noticed though!! lol. So Guy, no need to rough up the lil sis just yet ;)

She's actually being quite nice...  :-/ not normal ::)
