Does anyone have any experinces of having bad P and then moving somewhere hot to live?
(eg did p go and stay away)

Because if it works I might just do it.

depends on the place mate. friend went to cambodia with the UN hoping it woul dhelp. It was hot but humid which made it worse.
If the sun works for you then go for it.
actually my sis lives in SF and hers is alot better.

Basically if you are a good UVB candidate then chances are that your P will be very responsive to the sunlight. When I went to spain last year my P cleared up nicely altough I never had that much maybe about 2-3%.

Its annoying as if I lived in Spain or somewhere hot I dont think I would have P much.

But be warned as soon as you come back to uk and the tan fades etc the P comes back asap, well for me it does.
Not many posts to my name. But each reply is worth 20yrs of P experience.

Aye i trotally agree with you on that one lee!!!  I was in Saudi for 4 months and it cleared up for me , as soon as i came back to the UK it came back within about 2 months !!! so if you do go away and come back to uk then stay on the sunbed !!!!!

I think the sun helps but it is not a cure as it also causes aother problems to your skin which will not help the P at all.

Thats what i think

I'm originally from NZ and my P started there but was never too bad until I arrived here. I went to Aussie 3 years ago for 6 weeks and it cleared up almost completely ( excluding the bits that didn't see much sun!) and stayed that way for almost 10 months. I have discussed with my doctor that it would be cheaper for the NHS to pay for a ticket to oz once a year but for some reason he jsut laughed!
i;m off for two weeks in the sun end of july and have great hopes. If the vodka is cheaper enough I may even get the speedo's out.

It is true that P is more common in cold areas (Scandinavia for example) where there is less sun hours, and also that P exacerbated in the winter and tends to remit in the summer. However, these are only a part of the reasons for P activity, and in Israel, where I practice we have a lot of immigrants from cold and more polar areas who's P exacerbates, continues, and most of them don"t get a remission just from relocating. One positive point thaugh... We have the Dead Sea...

its strange aint it how climate affects us all....i mean i went to australia a coupla years back during their summer in queensland and by the time i came home in december i had the worst ever flare up of p id ever EVER had in a place id never EVER had it before....it was devastating for me cause it was my forearms and hands....and for me never having had it there before  it was hard to cope with it being so public if you know what i mean....plus it happened a month before i was due to start midwifery training...luckily i got it cleared up dead quickly, but now ever year around the same time i get a really bad flare up over my arms and hands that lasts near enough 6 months.....and never really goes away after that..... im about to go back to aus for a year and im really worried ill get it like i did again....but im staying south during the summer and going north in their winter....to try and stay out of the humidity...so maybe being in the hot sun not humid sun will make all the difference....cause at the height of that flare up the humidity was 98%!!!!! never thought about that being a factor to be honest...doh!   so thanks!! lol  ;D

Mr Gilead thats quite positive words there , unfortunately as you know heat and cold does not help all us p suffererrs. You have good information which is great if you is from your region , unfortunately for other reasons its a place thats not lets just say welcome for us . I aint disputing the fact that isreal has the best curing sea in the world ,its not the best plce to be at the mo and thats no disraspect to country !!! us here in colder climate countries need something for definate , a guarantee off improvement rather than spend thousands to go to isreal for few weeks. I may sound negative to us all out there but is this the best treatment you can get , like i said in earlier post , these promised cures , do they work !!!! it does for some but o to pay few thousand , me as yer average joe bloggs would have to take ot a loan!!!! and unless its a 100 % cure i wont do it. Am i being negative or wrong
