Completely covered...will UVB help?
« on: January 01, 2012, 02:40:03 PM »
Hi, I am more or less covered in psoriasis. It starts as guttate and then joins forming large plaques. I'm about to start UVB treatment for the first time and wondered what the success rates are?

Hi Sharon,,

Good grief. That is the 64,000 dollar question.

Because we are all different and therefore treatments react differently. Hopefully you will, as I did after my first series of treatment, get remission for many months. But I don't think that there are any guarantees!

Let us know how you get on.

Regards

I've found if you take natural sunlight well, you generally get on better with UVB than others that don't, but, that's not to say that's not the actual case!

I had a course of UVB for guttate some time ago, and it worked wonders for me!

I'm just about to finish a course of UVB for plaques and i'm pretty much clear!

Really hope it works well for you! :)

I had UVB for a while.  I found I had to go at least 4 times a week just to keep it under control.  I am now using a patch found on Link removed by Moderator  My wife is into natural remedies and bought the y-age glutathione patches and I thought I would give it a try.  it is the best  thing I have ever used. There are different patches for different things. Since this has glutathione it helps my skin.  I use a patch every other day and my P is clearing up more and more everyday. You should give it a try. No presscription needed.  Doctors will not tell you about this. regards.

the only light treatment i have found to be any good was PUVA by the time i got to 8 weeks of treatment was very clear

UVA on its own was not as good
or UVB even narrow band UVB TLO1

But we all react different to light hope it helps you  :)

and most of all the good old Sunshine when you can get it has every ray that will help  :)
