;D ;D ;D ;D DSG HAS GOT ENGAGED!!!!!!  ;D ;D ;D ;D
Gareth Ware (DSG) Swooped down on one knee in New York last week and proposed to his lovely girlfriend Dee! He could barely get back up again in the two foot of snow with his dodgy joints! Bless him!
I was beginning to think he'd been left on the shelf but I'm very glad to report that he has found the lovely Dee who he will be bringing to the Dead Sea again this year. CONGRATULATIONS BRO!!!!  :-*

Hello everyone :)

Okay, we now have the prices, details etc for the April/May/June 2010 trips to the Dead Sea in Jordan. Please email me at You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login if you are interested. I will then email the info to you because as with previous years, we are not allowed to advertise them on the forum.

Firstly, for all those that have never been before, have a read here>>

This article will give you a good insight as to what a trip is all about and should answer a lot of your questions.

Secondly to all those that have been before, and those that have received the info from previous trips - READ THE INFO CAREFULLY AS THERE ARE CHANGES TO THE PRICING STRUCTURE The good news is Gareth has managed to get the same great rates again which added to sterlings gradual recovery means it is a lot cheaper than the spring 2009 trips. More good news - the low season periods have been changed to our benefit which will enable more people than ever to take advantage of the cheaper rates

So everybody can read them - please post your questions here for me to answer. However, I cannot answer questions here regarding cost, this will have to be done via email.

Once I start getting confirmed bookings, these will be placed on this thread so others can see and allows first timers to tie in with others.

As with previous years we will nominate a group date which will provisionaly be the 16th of May and is the first day the cheaper rates kick in. This date is not set in stone but once I have confirmation I will update you all.

Cheers
Paul

** Saturday May 15th confirmed as the group date**

Hi Paul,

I'm a newbie to the Psoriasis forums but not to Psoriasis (had it since 11yo and am now 45). I've always found sunbathing to be helpful, but it's always finding the time that's the problem. I've been avidly devouring all the posts on PHO regarding trips to the DS and Jordan and would have loved to come along on your 2010 trip but don't think I can make those dates and now I see you're all fully booked anyway  :-[

So, I'm thinking of going on my own but sooner (April sometime maybe). Can you forward me some details about the hotel you guys go to as I can't find any reference to it on the forums. I was originally thinking of going to the Israeli side but after reading all about what the authorities do to your electrical goods and the stories of food/service etc and others experiences it sounds like Jordan is the place to be. Plus I've been to Jordan in the past (1993 Exodus trip) and loved it, especially the sublime desert landscapes (tip - go to Wadi Rum, it's amazing!)

Also, even if I go/book on my own what's the likelihood of running into other P sufferers in April or is the place empty! It'd be nice to think there might be someone there to have a few beers in the evening with  :)

Dave

Hi Dave,

There is no problem going in April although the hotel rates may be higher than later in the summer as it is effectively their high season. One other thing is that the days will be shorter and cooler in April and possibly a slight increase in flies.

I still may go out in June so feel free to give me a shout if you fancy going out then.........it is cheaper in June, hotter and less flies!

Good luck whenever you choose to go!

J.

P.S. Israel v Jordan............no contest!
