Hi Donal

Locoid C is a hydrocortisone (Potent steroid cream) with antimicrobials in which is appropiate if you have an infection as well as P. There are Locoid creams, ointment and scalp lotion without antimicrobials.

The BNF British national formulary has this to say about steroid creams etc with antimicrobials in:-
The advantages of including other substances such as antimicrobials or antifungals with corticosteroids in topical preperations are debatable, but they may have a place where there is associated bacterial or fungal infection.
Ref BNF 44

I would contact your own derm/GP and ask review of your own treatment.
