My eyelids are killing me :o(
« on: February 01, 2012, 11:58:19 AM »
Hi Guys,

I'm abit under the weather at the moment with my P. Got my appointment with the derm at the end of feb. One things thats really gettin me down is my eyelids, both are covered and sting like hell. Its got to the point where I will just lie with my eyes shut for an hour every now an then just for some relief. Anyone got any ideas that can help with this?

Thanks

Hi David,

Thanks for your reply, going to try the milk - it is just my eye lids.

Might go doctors tomorrow and ask about protopic, i've never used it.

Thanks  :)

Does anyone take any pain killers that help with the skin pain?

Asked for protopic at the doctors, he said that he didn't want to prescribe for a couple of reasons. Firstly using for P is off licence use and he has no experience using it and secondly its £60 a tube! I couldn't believe it!! He said he didn't want to cost the NHS that when he didn't even know if it would work - I agreed and don't blame him, thought that was very expensive for a cream!!

Anyway he give me prednisolone which is an oral steroid to see me through till I can see the derm. He said its fast acting and within days my skin should feel alot better. I can just see it clearing my skin then the derm not taking seriously how bad my P has been, that would just be my luck! LoL.

Feeling alot better today about it now I have these meds though. If anyone has used it some info on it would be nice  :)

Thanks, as always!
