Hello. A newbie here. I have long had minor psoriasis but this last summer it went totally nuts. 80% coverage at the worst point and at least half of it at that point was Eythrodermic. From just above my knees to a point on my chest just below arm pit level. With all that blood pooling, I had heat flashes like crazy and then chills often followed. I started taking 1 gram of a fish oil/flaxseed oil/borage oil twice a day and 1 gram of evening primrose oil (three times a day the first week), along with 1 gram of milk thistle and 2000 units of d3 twice a day.
The first, most noticeable change I had was in reduction of the eythro portion. It took nearly a full week, but the red skin started fading and as it did, so did the heat flashes and chills. At this point now, my P is down to less than 20% at most and is fading steadily. What remains is mostly stubborn plaque P spots, but they are just a ghost of what they were. Maybe it is just a quirk, but from all my study, Omega3 oils do wonders for inflammation, blood flow, strengthening blood vessel walls, strengthening capillaries, and general circulation improvements.
I am in my mid-fifties and I had noticed that after going to bed, it took forever for my feet to warm up, prior to this outbreak. After six weeks on this oil regimen, it is very much the opposite. At times now, I have to stick my feet out from under the covers for them to cool off. This is a change I can really live with.
I know a lot of people look down their noses at supplement options rather than "medicines", but milk thistle and the Omega oils all do have some strong supporting research behind them. All I can really say is thank heavens for them, they did do wonders for me.
Oh by the way, wines really aren't my thing. An occasional dram of brandy or cognac, however, that is a different story.

Have a great new year, everyone.
