Hi,

I am new to these forums and have recently started using Dovobet. I just have a few questions I hope people will be able to answer . First of all will the skin go back to normal and how long will it take? Is it safe to use on my Genitals as there is a small amount that I'm hoping will not get any worse and finally is there anything that I could also use to help the healing process?

Oh Crickey...no idea if its okay for genitals.  Have used it for years and although it works well it has never made my skin clear.  Think it depends on coverage, severity and type of P....hopefully someone on this forum may be able to help more....sorry. x

don't use in your bits.....it's a very strong steriod!!!! (see a GP about something that more suitable)

Yes skin can in cases return to normal, but you can find a bit of discolourment for a while

Hi CP,

There should be a lot of information on this site about Dovobet. Some general advice:

Apply sparingly and only to affected areas and not to face or genitals.

It is only for short-term use, but don't suddenly stop treatment, wean yourself of it slowly.

I hate to be the bringer of bad news, but there are a lot of people here who will attest to the fact that Dovobet has some nasty side effects. They may not show for years, but they will probably come.

I don't use it constantly, so it's not as bad as it sounds. I've been using it on and off for about 4 years. I don't use it daily.

Well, here's hoping my boobs don't fall off.

Hi Rinbag,

Your phrase "using it on and off" worries me. For goodness sake don't just stop using it. If you use it every day for a week, then use it every other day for a week, and then every third day for a week etc. etc. Do not just stop.

Anyway, if you boobs fall off I am sure there they will be plenty of volunteers (me and Frost at the front of the queue) to lend a hand - "Is that within the rules Mods?"
