I would be interested to hear what your derm has to say

I'm "fresh" with ppp too, starts 6 months ago.
Derm says to take Tetracycline antibiotics for 1-2 years :o
I said no, and now I'm looking for alternative method.
I found only in this New Zeland site treatment with antibiotics You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login

I thinк this is true "Palmoplantar pustulosis is much more common in current smokers (and in those that have smoked in the past). It is thought that activated nicotine receptors in the sweat glands cause an inflammatory process."

with you having pluster p all over you need to go to the doctors and get an emergency refferal to your derm as this P is quite an issue and you could be likley to be put into hospital. i am speaking from experiance as i went through the same they put me on mtx for this.

Hi,

I think that there may be some confusion creeping in here due to the use of too many abbreviations involving the letter "P"!

I don't want to add to this by trying to transcribe an explanation but would encourage thread followers to look at the following links:

i have absolutely no idea which i have, the doctor told me it looked like pustular p, but what i have on palms is different to soles of feet, and again different looking to wrists and arms, its different to my p that i have had for 40 yrs, the legs and belly again look different, none of it looks the same, the ankles are different to, i like to be awkard u see.lol ..
the palms are so much better at the moment, using epaderm, they just very tender, silly things hurt them

so untill i see dermo on 18th i will just keep using epaderm, will have to take notes when i see him, still hoping it something else all together. i can hope cant i . lol

I apologize, but still can not figured out who the users who reply, help! So if your reply is not addressed to me, ignore it.
If you talk about the acronym PPP he comes from Palmoplantar pustulosis, so I placed a link to be clear about what kind postulosa I speak.

I hope no misunderstanding.

@Marion, read carefully the information from  MULLINDE's links and you alone will determine the type. Two doctors diagnosed mine as eczema until the results of laboratory was ready.

Hi PS,

Yes it can get confusing about who is replying to whom.

And PPP can refer to:

Palmo Plantar Psoriasis, or:
Palmo Plantar Pustulosis

The only certain thing is, at the moment, there is no cure for psoriasis.

Regards,

Daryl

I have pustular psoriasis in hands & feet, i have other troublesome spots in ears, nose scalp etc... but this weekend i have been in contact with dogs and skin has gone crazy I now have these itchy welt patches all over my shins and forearms been trying not to scratch and covered in emollient cream but they seem to be getting larger & larger, completely lost my appetite to hardly eaten today and barely anything yesterday, is this a normal allergic reaction or something i need to go to GP about?

oh Daryl, how you're right, unfortunately!

In fact, the group is called Pustular psoriasis (characterized by white blisters of noninfectious pus consisting of white blood cells), and it consists of 3 subgroups
Palmoplantar pustulosis - PPP
Acropustulosis - acrodermatit, on the ends of fingers
Von Zumbusch - it is fatal if not treated in hospital

With all my respect to your experience, but I just decorated with this type of psoriasis and have to study it in detail, but I guess in different countries call it by different names.

Regards, PS..... I hate it
