P and Pregnancy
« on: December 09, 2006, 05:27:43 PM »
So when does it start to clear up.  Some women I know it doesn't clear for but for others it does.

Anyone any experience there

Also what can I use on my scalp and hands.  Been using Oilatum for scalp but it'll loose its effectiveness if i keep going with it.  Can I use coal tar?

My hands are tormenting me, had to throw away all my dovenex and dovebet so the temptation wasn't there to use them

Hi Rach - check with your derm, but I think coal tar is out during pregnancy too :-/
Something that you generally can do is use loads of lotion (emulsyfying ointment or aqueous cream used to work well for me - especially when I put them in the fridge so the are cool at the same time).
I hope you p will clear for you during pregnancy soon - I've got my fingers xxx-ed for you!

I went in to total remission while I was pregnant.  Sadly though, within days of my daughter being born, it was on its way back.  It's now worse than it's ever been  :(
