The Psoriasis Association is organising a "Going To The Dogs" Charity Evening
at Hall Green greyhound stadium, Birmingham on Friday 21st May 2004.

The advert for the event, in the Association's Winter magazine,  begins with the sentence "Join us for an exciting evening of fun and fundraising" and also states "There are 13 races and it is possible to sponsor each race. The race will be named after you or your company. You will be able to display banners around the stadium. You will be able to present the trophies. Your support will be acknowledged in the race cards as well as in the Association Report..........There are 13 races with 6 dogs in each race - a total of 78 dogs. This is your opportunity to join in the fun by sponsoring a dog - if your dog wins you win a bottle of champagne."

This event was originally brought to our attention in a post objecting to the use of animals in sport and asking people to complain to the Psoriasis Association about the event. This post has been  moved to the Chit Chat room and if anyone wishes to comment on the use of animals in sport then they should refer to the 'Psoriasis Association - Please Protest' thread in the chit chat room
and make any response on that thread.

Thanks.
Ian
