Rash + Psoriasis
« on: February 01, 2004, 07:48:57 PM »
Well I was in the bath and I noticed a red outbreak on my chest area. It doesn't look like my normal psoriasis as from people to people psoriasis varies in colour and thickness etc. It's like dotty and red and feel dry. It wasn't there this morning.
Could anyone tell me the difference between a ordinary rash and psoriasis. (I deffenetly have psoriasis and I know what is looks like) I don't really get *rashes* so I wouldn't know.
Thankyou, sorry for being dumb!  ::)

Love you all!

i also get rashes usually in folded skin like under the breasts, etc.  i try and keep it dry with powder.  since yesterday i've been trying a cream for baby's diaper rash (daprolene).  i hope it works.  it doesn't look like my p either.

the only thing i've had like that is i developed hives about 2 years ago and that's like little itchy and i mean itchy!!! red bumps that come and go. they r in little patches, but luckily only last for about 3-5 days. the cause is either allergy or stress.  doesn't sound like what u have  tho :-/

Hi,

Had a similar type of rash all over my back, saw several doctors and the last one called it an eczematic eruption and prescribed Locoid Lipocream which seemed to do the trick. Very very itchy. and difficult to distinguish from the Psoriasis.

All the best

Got an itchy rash a few weeks back....only in areas covered by clothing.......the culprit ...........DAZ.
Been ok since I changed powder.
btw , it was a friend who suggested it could be DAZ , a few of his friends had similar probs with underwear and socks irritating the skin
