Hi shazer,

Moisturise .... they come off then anyway.

Or have a long soak in the bath.

You just have to make sure you don't damage the underlying skin if you decide to pick!

Or leave them alone.

I have done one or all at one time or another.

Which do YOU prefer ... as the choice is yours!

Good luck ...  ;D

it seems easy enough say leave them alone but when they get tight and thick all you can think of doing is picking!!! Best advice I've picked up is (as suggested by Tom) is to moisterise them. Then the easy scales come off and the stuck ones remain. Another tip is to keep nails short so that picking damage is kept to a minimum!!!

I like to remove them, I saw a trichologist and even though he couldn't help me, he said that it itches because of the scales. And he took the scales off using coconut oil, and he was right! When the scales are gone, it doesn't itch as much! Of course they always come back, but it helps as it lets air get to the underlying skin and doesn't suffocate it. I always feel alot cleaner when i remove the scales too! xXxXx :)

I have to agree with Becky-lu, you really do feel 'cleaner' after a good de-scaling session.

Definatley better off than on.

Paul :)

I agree that scales are better off than on.
I find a good soak in the tub helps get rid of the scales and I make sure I moisturise afterwards

i haven't lost my mind its backed up on disc somewhere ...

I have to pick at mine, its got to be a bad habit but I do fell better when i have done it.  It does make you feel cleaner and after Moisturising I'm alot happier cos my skin feel smoother.
My boyfriend hates me doing it!  I do have a problem getting to the patches between my shoulders and that really bugs me cos I know that they are there and they are really think too...I just want to get rid of them!
