Salycilic is not a steroid!  It is alo in asprin.  I think its from a plant. It's been naround for over 30 years its also in dirosalic that  probably what liane is talking about.  Its one of the things taht can be mixed and added to any base thats why you can find it in vaseline, aqueous or even something like merck.  Adrian spoke of it being mixed with sulphur but I only used it in aqueous or emulsifying as well as dirosalic
