Strange!!
« on: July 21, 2004, 04:48:15 PM »
From reading a lot of the articles lately, it seems that many sufferers are having particularly bad attacks this years for some reason.  I myself, have had slight outbreaks for many years now, but this year has seen the most extensive outbreak of p i have ever had.  Only now, after a month or so of using dovonex cream, dead sea moisturisers and baths and twice a week tanning sessions, is it starting to show signs of clearing (apart from my ankles and lower legs, which seem to be really stubborn.  At least my arms are a lot better and I can finally wear t-shirts again (hoorah!!)

I just wonder whether it has something to do with the bad weather we've had so far this year or maybe something more sinister.......?? ??? ???

Well if you are in the UK it has got to be the fact that we have had literally NO sun for over a month. There just seems to be too much cloud and rain...

Up to the beginning of July my P was all but gone because of the and hot weather we were having.

Now I have had a flare (mainly because I was ill and ilness always flares me up  >:(), but also because I haven't been able to get enough decent UV to it either.

COME BACK SUMMER!

I too have been controlling it with dead sea products...

Yeah totally the suns hiding behind the curtains againnnn.

In fact, clothing retail businesses were already suffering from a nasty patch of bad turnovers due to the weather, and now because of the cold and wet weather, again they endlessly suffer the penny intakes. I work for a company that specialises in providing spec and design for these coops, so i too was thinking not only business is bad, but p business is bad too!!

Im opening a SAAS charity fund raiser online soon, ITS  a new religion, you all have to donate money for my yearly holidays, do good for the wicked!! All cheques are payable to 'saas'. (minimum 120 quid)

Along with the lack of sun you also get something similar to SADs. Bad weather causes people to be moody/stressed which again isn't going to be good for P sufferers.
Tells it like it is!

I have also been having a bad year with the P  >:( I have only ever really suffered with plaque before but a couple of months ago I had a really bad flare up of guttate which is getting better with the help of UVB.   I think the weather has alot to do with it too.   When are we going to get a week without cloud and rain?

I'm having my worst year since i got it 17 years ago at the age of 7.  It came up as guttate p which have melted into one another and I seem to be a walking blob of p.  Hence the need to soul search for fellow sufferers on the net!

Don't know if it is a lack of sun for me, I never know if skin cancer or p is better when it comes to getting in the sun, so often end up covering myself in sun cream when it is sunny!

But role on summer anyway, its about time and i miss my bbqs :(

Sun and UV treatments never bothered me (or helped for that matter). As for the rain, send the rain, damp and chill to me Claire, Lulu can tell you she thinks im a duck anyway. Love the cold and damp.(Quack!)
Just like dermatologists and cures for psoriasis:
If you give a monkey a scrabble board, EVENTUALLY it will spell a word.

Live like a dog: If you cant eat it or hump it, "p" on it and walk away!
