It's true, this should be more known to people....

But it's good to hear that there are Fire Services that do have a more reasonable approach, even though it's on the other side of the globe :-/ It may just spread :D

Stu - the very best of luck to you in the venture :)
And - I haven't got a ladder, but a comfy chair, a large mug of cocoa, a shoulder to cry on and a big comforting cuddle are readily available... :-*

Take care - keep happy :)

The letter writing has started in earnest, but I'm prepared for a long drawn out battle with the Service.

The official line is that you can't join with either Chonic or extensive P. There are two points here, mine is neither, I have fairly large patches on my forearms, bits over my legs but my chest and back are pretty much clear, a few patches but nothing big.  this means that at elast in my opinion I shouldn't be excluded as my p is not really chronic.

The second point is that I was up front from the start about my P, on the first application form in big bold letter I stated that I had P when asked about any medical conditions. My opinion is that they should of queried it then and not put me through an 8 month application period wasting both of our time and their money.

Stupid really.. perhaps I should go set fire to the local fire station  :-* :-* :-*
