UVB hygiene
« on: August 01, 2004, 08:57:05 PM »
Hi everyone! I've got my UVB tomorrow afternoon and I was wondering if like me, anyone out there is a little disappointed by the lack of cleanliness in the hospital.

What I mean is, every time I have been for the UVB there has been an array of, how should I put it? nether region hair from other people on the floor.

I have to spread the blue tissue paper everywhere before I even get undressed.

Has anyone else experienced this? or is it just this one particular hospital.

I think I might have to say something tomorrow.   But how do I put it?

Claire x (feeling sick at the thought!) :P

Both the hospitals I have used for UV (one PUVA and one UVB) clean the machine after each patient...

Once noted a few flakes on the floor before I got changed once...but I reckon I can spot a P flake at 20 yards, which perhaps a nurse would miss?  ;D

I feel for you, Claire. 'Complaining' about the NHS is hard, but doubly on this occasion because they are helping you out so much (if you know what I mean)...

Anyway, what are the people 'doing' before you use the area? Does the derm nurse have a sideline in Brazilians?

'Seeing as you are naked madam, shall I just whisk off a little bikini line for you?'

;D ;) ::)

I have noticed stray blobs of moisturiser about but never anything sinister.

I did have an incident with a missing pair of knickers though   ;)

hi,all
same with my derm dept even the grab rails put you of
when i mentioned about the over all cleanness, as useul the derm nurse,s replied we renew the blue paper thats all we are req to do as hyigine goes, even the uvb table for feet /hands
hasent seen a cloth, i think the cleaners are contracters
im in and out hosp like a yoyo, and even my wife of the old training schools not nvq, just can not belive she see's going on, and most of the offenders had ant bacteria  alch/ spray on there belts and went from pat/to another if out useing it
have written complaints many a .time, if the derm nurse's are not, cleaners why dont they leave a box of anti/bact/wipes
by the units, prob not in there job subscription just the blue paper, even pals/ run by x nurses dont have clue
right thats my winge for today
