For the summer I found some excellent skin colour tights specially designed for people who have scars. They disguised the p completely and I could go out in the summer in skirts! Only downside was I had to wear proper shoes to cover the toes- but that was a small price to pay!!

Oooooooooohhhhh.......  where did you get them from Em?? Sound fab and like I need to stock up!!  :)

Until the Dovobet had a resounding effect on my arms I had to wear long sleeve shirts even when I worked in a factory on the shop floor.

It was only for 5 months, 11 hours a day but it was hot and humid and yes you guessed it I was the only bloke to wear long sleeves.

Couldnt risk being ridiculed so it meant trying not to get over heated but it was a battle.

Plus of course with me having PA and osteo arthritis, standing virtually still in front of a machine all day was a real killer.

When we clocked off at night I could hardly walk and had a mile walk to get home.

PA, osteo arthritis + long sleeve shirts in a hot environment do no mix very well, beleive me.

I got the tights a few years ago from Rackhams (House of Fraser) in Birmingham.
I actually spoke to one of the assistants who recommended them.

Sorry but I can't remember the brand - but I do remember that they were quite expensive for tights (around £15) but worth every penny!!

 HI missfit,

I use to be really lucky because my p was mainly on "hidden places" ::)
But now I have developed a few really exposed patches as well - and for me it really depends on my mood of what I will wear.
If I can look at myself in the mirror and like myself - I won't give a *** what people say ;D
But if I don't feel comfortable I rather wear something more covering.

I had a really bad experience when I went home to my mums birthday (huge party) and the dress I packed did show a lot cleavage. I had not worn it for some time - so I did not realize my p in the cleavage area was actually quite visible. But as it was the only dress I brought, I had to wear it :(
Now I always try to think of these things when packing and take 2 outfits - One nice ... and one covering... just in case ;D

I usually wear what I like but tend not to if I'm with people I don't know too well.

I think that the patterend tights that are "in" at the mo are fantastic.  And they will cover up P.
For arms I have a shirt with bright pink sparkly stripes which is 3/4 sleeves and also if you buy things in "sheer" fabrics (eg look a bit like tights!!) these can mask P on the arms and you can still look fab!

Another tip from me: when P on my face is a bit bad I wear strong eye make up to draw the attention there rather than my forehead!
