When Will It Ever End?

When will it ever end?
When will my skin become my friend?
Oh enemy of mine, please be fair
And make me feel fine
We are supposed to be one you and I

When will this anguish ever cease?
When will i stop shedding my fleece?
"They" do not understand the pain within
When they look with a bemused grin
How can they understand?  How can they see?
I don't think they can because they're not me

Only those close have a sense of feeling
When my skin is constantly peeling
But even they can't comprehend
What it's like when your skin's not your friend

Please don't ridicule me or show me pity
Because deep inside i'm really pretty
Under all this i'm really fine
I just feel like my skin isn't mine

So when you see me please don't say
"Hello my friend, how's your skin today?"
'Cos I'll reply;
"Why don't you chase it, it's blowing away!!"
