Hi Nic.,

Began in my scalp then to elbows and knees, navel, tiny bit on breast/clevage area -  a few small patches on my back and on thigh and little ones starting below my knees.  I know when I attend my derm later this month she will offer UVB over an eight week period and I'll see a vast improvement and will hopefully get up to eight months clearing.

It's such a pain this P !!!  :( ... hope u'rs ain't too bad.

Hugs
BB

I'm sooo glad i'm not the only one thats affected in so many different areas!

Mines started on my knees, elbows, back and scalp when I was 5.  It cleared up for a few years when I was about 10, came back when I was 14.  Now I have it worse than ever before.

Right now I have 95% coverage on my scalp (only the area behind my left ear is clear of it), both elbows, both knees, right shin and I can see the start of it on my left shin :( in my nails, and, like you Midge, that area!! :( :( :(

Midge... have you been given anything for that??  I don't like to use any of my steriod creams in sensitive areas ;)

Thanks for the feedback, it's interesting knowing which areas others are affected with this.  You are all sooooo helpful and I don't know where I'd be without this place! :)

Poor you!! Thanks for confessing too though - I know who to PM when I'm uncomfortable!!!! ;D

To be honest, I use the same steroid creams there as I do on my face - mostly Protopic, but not often. I keep well moisturised in that area!!!!  :-[

That's the one area of P I've never shown my doctor, but it got spotted during a smear test a while back, and the Practice Nurse told me to see her about it if it got really bad.

I forgot - I also get the odd 'under bust' flare up, thankfully not often though (I'm a rather 'big' girl, and I can't see it very easily even when it does flare!!)

Ah, the joys, eh????  ;D

I had a patch the size of a 10p for about 7 years - never got bigger or smaller.  Then over a couple of days after waking up with every joint in my body attacked it spread to all over my scalp and behind ears.

I had that for another 9 years along with an area in my lady lala and then since Jan this year it has suddenly started spotting on my forearms and one leg.

Hi I have spots all over, worse bit on knee and my bottom. Got some bits on elbows and then then little spots on top back of legs.
My scalps ok, but when I first started with it many years ago it started on my scalp.

Its such a weird disease!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Very wierd and very annoying at times  ;D

Midge i'm sooo glad I have you to talk to about this, I have never gone for my smear because of the embarrassment this will cause me, and like you, the only place I've failed to show, or even tell, my GP.  I find it too embarrassing.

Ruthiebaby, you too!!  It's good to know I'm not alone!  I had done a bit of research a couple of years ago and always swore it would be the end of me if it happened there, but I'm sort of coping  ???

My scalp is the worst affected area at the moment.  Nothing helps it :(

I sooo love you guyz!!!  It's amazing just how much better I feel since I joined this forum a week ago, you really are helping me get through this.  Thank you all so much, I'm so appreciative of all your responses, advice and knowledge :)

Nic x

Luckily I am almost clear now but when I had it boy did I have it.  It was everywhere.....I was 80-90% covered most of the time. Luckily my face wasn't as effected as other places!

Girly bits....horrific!
