Finally got my referral letter for the Skin Clinic :)  Hopefully see some results.  Only bad thing is, got the letter in the post this morning and my appointment was for 9 am.... TODAY!  Obviously I'd already missed it but called them up and got a new appointment for Tuesday 23rd.

I'm soooo excited and glad that after 8 years I've finally been referred.

Wish me luck for some improvement with my P.

That is wonderful news..... now you start making a list of what you want to say.... it is your appointment - so don't get bamboozled - I am really happy for you - once you are in the system it all gets better from there - and remember the dermatologist will have seen everything and heard it all - so don't be afraid to tell them honestly how it is affecting your daily life

You go what you deserve - and keep us posted  :)

I've got an A5 notepad that I jot things down in to do with my p so that will be coming with me.  Got lots of stuff I want to talk to them about and I'll definitely be telling them everything that's on my mind.  Everything is going to get aired at this appointment lol.  I can't believe how much of a high that it's put me on.  I love it :)

FANTASTIC!!! That's great to hear!  :) :) :) Yep, make a list - if you're anything like me, you'll forget all the bits you need to tell them!

I do that even when I go to the GP - he usually just grabs the list from me and mutters, but at least I don't have to talk to him about anything I either can't pronounce, or am embarrassed about - although, I've decided to change my GP to a very nice lady doctor at the same surgery - not because she's a woman, but mainly because she's not a grumpy, bumbling idiot...  :D

I'm hoping to get some results now.  That's me got P on my left leg now too and it's coming back around my eye! :(

I've already got a loooong list written out that I'm going to speak to them about, I'm quite optimistic about it now.  The best part os, I was told to expect at least a 12 week wait before I heard anything from the clinic and it's only been just over 4!! :D

Appointment went well today :D 

I'm on such a high now.  There's been talk of getting UVB treatment which I had been wishing for.  My derm has prescribed me some lotions and stronger creams to try for the next 4 weeks and then I'm back on the 27th of April for day treatment, not quite sure whether I'm starting light treatment then though  ???

All in all, I got more advice in my 45 minute consultation than I've had in the 8 years I've been going to my GP for it.  I'll keep you all updated on my progress and my next steps.

Thanks for all the support and encouragement you have given, it's been great!!
