"Turmeric"
« on: November 16, 2005, 09:13:04 PM »
Hello, I have been reading all over the net about a "natural herb" called turmeric and its supposedly miracle effect it has on p.... i have just purchased some tablets from the local herbalist shop and taken my first tablet, it is also meant to be good for arthritis and sore joints.
Was wondering if anyone else had tried it?
Will let you know how I get on in a few weeks.
Regards Sandi

Have just started taking 'Lamberts high potency turmeric' 10,000mg providing 95% curcumins ?!?!? not sure what the heck I am doing but have got to try something, I really am desperate now, can't sleep at nights as the itch gets so bad, bleeding and cracked all over legs, feet, hands and scalp, have tried all sorts of potions and remedies but NOTHING helps!!!!
Don't know how many of these tablets I am meant to take, directions on tub say 1 tablet daily or as directed?!?!
Don't know how much longer I can put up with this da*~ cruel desease. :-[ :'(

Hi Sandy,

I cannot comment too much on Tumeric as I only took a small dosage.

Generally my p did not improve, but maybe I did not take enough, and for not long enough.

This bit is embarrasing, but I suffered with a sore bottom for years. After taking the tumeric, it has improved  and feels much better. When I abstain from the tumeric for say a week, I notice my bottom gets worse again.

Regards,

Mickey

I've heard tumeric is a really good anti-inflammatory which will help the redness go down.  Its well known for its cleansing properties in Indian cultures when applied directly to the skin as a paste.

Good luck.

Hi Sandy,

Just taking 400 mg.

At holland and barratt this week it is half price.

By GoodnNatural 100 tablets.

As stated did not have great success except for my bott, but that alone is well worth the expense ;)

Hope it is OK for you,

Regards,

Mickey
