P runs in the family and since I have an uncle who has been covered in it all of his life and has taken part in experimental treatment trials without benefit, I have tended to accept that its just a cross which has to be borne. It has got a lot worse in recent years however and I am reduced to sleeping on a towel to keep the blood off the sheets. I now live in the Algarve and regulated exposure to the sun this summer improved the P considerably. The downside came in mid October after sunbathing stopped. I had a huge flare.
It was then that I saw a reference to Exorex. A Google search produced numerous hits, including this discussion site. Amazon will not send it to Portugal (probably because the Portuguese insist that anything sold here has a label with the contents in Portuguese language) but I found an online pharmacy which does not have such scruples. Within 48 hours of first applying Exorex my P was greatly improved. I have now been using the Lotion, Moisturiser and Shower Gel for three weeks and, while the pace of improvement has slowed, the difference is still dramatic. Badly damaged skin cannot be expected to heal in a few days but it is still moving in the right direction. Moisturising now once a day - three times at first - keeps the itch away. I have another order on its way. Its over £100 a time but so worth it if it continues to work.
Posts on this thread show that it does not work for everyone but please try it if you are running out of options.
