GrandTheory over the years i have tried so many things whether it was drinking aloe Vera concentrate, Chinese herbs, liquid juice diets etc the list goes on and on. In some other posts i mentioned that i was so bad at one stage that there was no normally skin on my entire body except for my face however even that it was quite bad creases along side my noise, eye lids, ears in and behind, scalp and the list goes on and on.
The only relief i ever had was when i decided to take about 3 weeks off work, i shaved my legs and went to a secluded beach and this is where i spent my time. Although the results were favourable this did not last. In recent times i decided to go back to the skin specialist as i had not visited for at least 3 years, hoping that there was some new treatment, upon leaving the only suggestion was to use the drug neo-tigason again and the thought of cracked lips, poor vision when driving at night, mood swings and all the blood tests, side effects dis-heartened me.
I thought that there must be something else out there, i went home searched the net but most treatments needed 30-90 days before (they state) you should see improvements. I was so fed up and in my frustration i purchased from all around the world eg: UK, USA, Australia (locally), Japan and China. Some remedies you needed to apply and some you needed to take orally. (A little dangerous when you dont know what your taking) however i thought to myself it can not be any worse then taking Tigason and methatrexate.
Over a period of about 6 months i think i spent approx $3K. (Again no relief)
Recently a friend of the family met a person on the train when travelling to work and in general discussion Psoriasis come up, this person had a family member that had also been suffering for years.
To cut a long story short this person found relief after they were introduce to some Chinese medicine and so this information was past onto me.
Not wanting to waste anymore money, I just wanted normal skin. I bit the bullet so to speak and spent $600 (AUD) to purchase enough to see if i was going to get relief.
The treatment arrived and eagerly to try i had a shower and applied. Within 2 days the soreness started to subside and within 5-7 days the scaliness started to disappear. I have been using for about 2 months now and only for about half a dozen spots i am pretty much clear.
My scalp and face is normal and this has built personal confidence if nothing else.
I think total money spent is about $2300 but if i way up total money spent over the years it would be about 10cent in comparison.
