Hi Paul,

I go to the Dead Sea for climatotherapy treatment and clear 100% every time. Remission can last anywhere from 3 months up to a year, in the 20+ years that I have been going I probably average out at 6 months. Each and every person that goes has different remission times.

As for your essential oil treatment, I agree with Trish that it is unlikely to clear you and you will need to give it months, not weeks to give it a chance.

I was using my Dead Sea salt/essential oils regime for months before a noticeable improvement occured. My P is nowhere near cleared but I have less at this time of year than I ever have and what I do have is made much more comfortable to live with with using the oils/salt regular.

Cheers :)

Which essential oils do you use?  Can't afford to go to the Dead Sea but have bought the salts in my local health food shop.

Hi Loretta,

I use a cap full of grapeseed carrier oil which makes the water super emollient and is great for the skin.

I then add 4 to 6 drops each of carrot seed and bergamot essential oils, throw a couple of cup fulls of Dead Sea salt in, give it a swish then lie back and soak for 20 minutes. I do this twice a week.

I still apply my normal moisturiser after.

Paul

I'm so sorry now I designed my place without a bath!  They seem to work for most people with p.  I think I'll be paying my mother lots more visits, with my oils  ;)  Thanks Paul.

Im finding showers good - but using NO soap or shower gels - I'm using a simple aqueous cream
instead. It works for me. I then moisturise after shower, using doublebase, diprobase or Welenda
sea buckthorn oil.
Since being on the Vit D3 and veg smooties I have  used NO soaps or anti persperants or after
shaves etc....i'm not sure how much this has helped my skin...but its looking great and i dont smell!

T

ps some aqueous creams do contain Sodium Lauryl Sulfate - so far I have been using both, and not noticed
problems with either, but it is a concern.

Hi Loretta,

I too have found that I dont sweat any more now than i did before - so see no need
at all for anti persperants....and my t shirts survive much better without them!

If the SLS a problem than maybe Double base shower emoillent a good alternative.
I have used it in the past, it seemed fine, i might try it again.

cheers

As for shampoo I do use T-Gel every other day - basically because I used to have bad scalp P
and it helped alot. Im dont really need it for scalp P now, but in the habit of using it. I might
try a few weeks off of it and see how it goes. I have never tried coconut oil in my hair, but do
have it to eat occasionally. I dont think the GF would be happy if i did put it in my hair
as she hates coconut!!
