Most Aloe Vera drinks are a bit of a con, and worst luck most seem to be associated with Multi Level Marketing.
I tried them for IBS years ago and that resulted in terrible cramping, so never tried them since as I have been too scared.
Since that incident, I have found out that the actual Aloe Vera in the drinks is either synthetic, or the nutrients from the real plant have been diminished due to being processed and long term storage in the bottle. Either way, neither particularly beneficial for health.
Mike Adams from Natural News did an article about harvesting your own gel from the plant to add to drinks. I am a bit nervous about this too, so have not taken the subject any further.
In regards to P, rubbing the gel direct from the plant onto affected skin several times a day for a few weeks, certainly gets rid of the plaques for me.
