Hi
I have tried various Aloe Vera drinks, don't think they helped the P, but they do help with the IBS. The only one that I feel helps me is the Forever Living Aloe drinking gel....I have tried other cheaper shop brought ones but they don't seem to have the same effect...but each to their own...

Most Aloe Vera drinks are a bit of a con, and worst luck most seem to be associated with Multi Level Marketing.

I tried them for IBS years ago and that resulted in terrible cramping, so never tried them since as I have been too scared.

Since that incident, I have found out that the actual Aloe Vera in the drinks is either synthetic, or the nutrients from the real plant have been diminished due to being processed and long term storage in the bottle. Either way, neither particularly beneficial for health.

Mike Adams from Natural News did an article about harvesting your own gel from the plant to add to drinks. I am a bit nervous about this too, so have not taken the subject any further.

In regards to P, rubbing the gel direct from the plant onto affected skin several times a day for a few weeks, certainly gets rid of the plaques for me.

Yes, I drank Aloe Vera juice (half and half with orange juice, to make it more palatable) since I first saw it suggested on here about eight years ago.

Didn't do much for skin, but is brilliant for IBS - very calming and stabilising, no cramping for me whatsoever.

Horses for courses, I guess.  :) :)

Maybe that was my mistake - I drank it straight.

Maybe I should have diluted it first.

Hi,
I drink 60ml neat in morning before I drink or eat...you get used to the taste and I quite like it now..
If I dont take it my IBS returns pretty quick
