Aloe Vera Juice
« on: July 14, 2010, 09:58:23 PM »
Hi there, Skin still very bad these days, face and ears were so covered that I finally gave in and starting using Eumovate every day... Had resisted thinking that it would thin the skin yada yada yada... but now don't care anymore have to live and can't go around looking like a LEPER all the time... And also it's very hard to wear heavy thick makeup in summer time...

Anyhoo...also have gone back onto Dovobet on certain areas.. basically all the 'public' areas of me... face, cleavage (!) ears, ankles and lower arms are now steroided... up the yin yang and I can live a normal life... Only the hubbie sees how bad my back and shoulders are, and it's still slowly spreading..

However, two things... Firstly have finally cracked a dairy free diet... now enjoying tea without milk, using almond butter instead of regular and avoiding cheese, (have a little on pasta etc., but basically very little) and never really liked yoghurts...  I think that it has helped with the itch factor...

My mum bought me 3 bottles of a pure aloe vera pulp/juice, can't remember the brand... but I'm not advertising it anyway and it's only available on a party plan type purchase... It seems to be improving my overall general sense of vitality and energy and mood.. No huge sign of change in the skin, but some evenings I think that it has faded to a lower red, and as my husband says, ' the fight is out of it'..

So, if anybody had good results taking aloe vera internally I would be interested in their comments, It doesn't taste too bad, I mix it with apple juice and take it in the morning first thing...

Anybody else find it good?  Best wishes, Eileen

Does it give you the squits?  ???

I heard that somewhere so nothing dared use it 'internally'.
My time, is yours.

So, if anybody had good results taking aloe vera internally

I have tried several times with several different brands, but it has always been too harsh for my delicate bowels.

But I did put aloe vera gel (straight from the leaf) onto a strange rash some months back, and it cleared up.

Sorry, does not really answer your question I know.

The juice is well known for its use in treating skin conditions:

BTW: The above link is a plug for a product - so just ignore that bit.

But it does contain some useful guidelines for choosing a juice.

I find many of the MLM brands to be very dodgy!

I only brought the juice on the advice of a qualified naturopath. Even though I ended up not being able to drink them, I was assured of getting a good brand. Plus I got my money back, as I could not use them.
