I don't think Intrepid's post was directed at anyone in particular, just generally at the idea of people (usually people who want to make a fast buck - or euro

- out of other people's suffering), who pretend that there is actually a cure for P. Which there is not, and every single one here knows that

Intrepid

You're so right, there's no such thing as a cure for P. :-/
We do get the odd snake oil salesman who claim to know a cure for P, which can
of course be obtained at the address of this person, "and my bank account number is...."
This is against the acceptable use policy of the board, and you'll also see that kind of posts being removed (after the person has been prompted to explain further - but I only ever once knew that they did....)
But I think most people you will find here that use the word "cure", are P sufferers like ourselves, who have had the good fortune to find (sometimes after a loooong search) a treatment or a system that works for them - it's their way of sharing their happiness about seeing an improvement, and trying to pass on the information that they think and hope might help others.
They know as well as you and I do that it's not really a "cure" as such. They know it's most probably temporary (D. says in her above post that as soon as she slacks off on the diet, the P gets worse again :-/ ). They're just happy to have found something - and that is great, imho

All too often, language stands in the way of communication

(especially when you're a silly foreigner like moi

)
Once we
always keep in mind that there IS really really really no such thing as a cure, we won't be taken in, and there shouldn't be such a thing as false hope anymore, only real, honest hope. Hope to find a way, each for himself, to live with the darn thing, to alleviate the symptoms, to stay happy, "even" being a P sufferer.
That's my hope, anyway

And let's keep hoping for those headlines

Take care, keep happy
