American Yellow Saffron?
« on: September 18, 2002, 11:21:26 AM »
Does anyone know where I can buy American Yellow Saffron tea, as recommended by Pagano? I can't find it anywhere in London (health food shops, Chinese herbalists etc). Don't really want to order it over the net. Appreciate any information. I live in London so if anyone knows anywhere in the UK where I can get it please, please tell me as I want to do the diet properly! Thanxs  ???

Hi Sungirl ;)

I found these tips in some previous postings:

Quote
You can obtain Saffron tea and slippery elm from the Edgar Cayce centre. The guy you need to speak to is John Walsh. The telephone number is 0207 237696.

Jk, is that number still valid? (to order saffron tea I mean ;D )

Quote
You can obtain both slippery elm bark and the American saffron tea from John England 0207 237 696

That's another one......

Or:

Quote
I was able to get slippery elm capsules in Holland and Barrat but I had to send off to an american company called Baar ( do a search on the name ) to get the american saffron. I also ordered the powdered slippery elm form there.  I think it cost about £17 fro both including post and packing.  These should last for ages cause they are quite big packs.

Not easy to get hold of, apparently :-/

I did a net search too, but found nothing worthwhile mentioning :-[ Hope the above helps a bit ;)

Good luck
Des

Just in case anyone is interested, after several hours perusing the internet, I have discovered that American Yellow Saffron, the tea recommended by Dr. Pagano and Edgar Cayce to alleviate psoriasis is also known as Safflower, its Latin name is Carmathus Tinctorius and its Chinese name is Hong Hua. You CAN get this in the UK, in specialist Chinese herbalist shops. I saw it the other day but didn't realise that it is the same thing as American Yellow Saffron. It is bright red and probably very expensive but saves time and effort ordering it from the net. I know its nerdy but I'll do anything to clear up my p for good!  :P

Hello,

I am an ex-patriot Brit...and a  'P' sufferer..now living in the States.
Take my advice...and forget that diet.
It is common knowledge here in the 'P' community that the diet is a 'scam'
American saffron..or any other saffron for that matter is expensive..and has no effect whatsoever on 'P'

Don't waste your money..!!!

t.t.f.n.

Christine.

You can get it online at the heratage store.
dguynn@ caycecures.com

This diet did work for me but you must follow closely, and it takes a while (although I didn't do the internal cleansing, which could have sped the process).   Since, I have pinpointed exactly what my food issues are.  But he is on the right track though.  To cure the p you must change your life and most don't like that sort of permanance, if I quit what works it will come back.  I know that I am not like some people I have to make a life long change.  But if you are willing you can rid of it for good!

Why do you insist that this diet is a cure for 'P' ..and in doing so...give people false hopes ??

You can use many products at great personal expense..and yes..for a while some will slow down the 'P'
However...when you stop using them...it comes right back..ususally worse than it was before ...

I enjoy this forum very much ...but I get a little tired of people insisting that a certain product will CURE Psorasis....

If, and when a true cure is found..it will be headlines in the nespapers...believe me !!

Sorry, who is your (Intrepid) email addressed to? If it was to me, I don't think I (or anyone else) have once 'insisted' that the Pagano diet is a total cure for psoriasis. I am doing it because I have heard a lot of positive things about it. If anything, I am just as much a guinea pig (to potential cures) as anyone else on this forum. I'm not giving anyone 'false hopes'. I think you must have me confused with someone else...  ???

Sungirl ;)

I don't think Intrepid's post was directed at anyone in particular, just generally at the idea of people (usually people who want to make a fast buck - or euro ;D - out of other people's suffering), who pretend that there is actually a cure for P. Which there is not, and every single one here knows that :)

Intrepid ;)

You're so right, there's no such thing as a cure for P. :-/

We do get the odd snake oil salesman who claim to know a cure for P, which can of course be obtained at the address of this person, "and my bank account number is...." ;D
This is against the acceptable use policy of the board, and you'll also see that kind of posts being removed (after the person has been prompted to explain further - but I only ever once knew that they did....) :)

But I think most people you will find here that use the word "cure", are P sufferers like ourselves, who have had the good fortune to find (sometimes after a loooong search) a treatment or a system that works for them - it's their way of sharing their happiness about seeing an improvement, and trying to pass on the information that they think and hope might help others.
They know as well as you and I do that it's not really a "cure" as such. They know it's most probably temporary (D. says in her above post that as soon as she slacks off on the diet, the P gets worse again :-/ ). They're just happy to have found something - and that is great, imho :D

All too often, language stands in the way of communication ;) (especially when you're a silly foreigner like moi ;D )

Once we always keep in mind that there IS really really really no such thing as a cure, we won't be taken in, and there shouldn't be such a thing as false hope anymore, only real, honest hope. Hope to find a way, each for himself, to live with the darn thing, to alleviate the symptoms, to stay happy, "even" being a P sufferer.
That's my hope, anyway :)

And let's keep hoping for those headlines :D

Take care, keep happy ;)
