humans work and earn money; their money are the target of the pharmaceutical companies; so who wants humans to be healed ?
not the human pharmaceutical companies.

...........so; i began using an ointment called MIBAZON which TEN TIMES CHEAPER than an usual ointment for p; and which is for VETERINAR USE !!!

it`s for cows, dogs and cats who really don`t need to be dependents of steroids; who doesn`t have the money for trips to the dead sea a.s.o.
ok; you`ll say that animals have a shorter life than humans; my dog is eleven and is alive and kicking - still agressive.. - ; i am 50 and if instead of 90 i`ll die at 65 with a normal skin...so be it !!

i`ll try to keep it updated here on pho.
wish me good luck !! ;)

Got fingers crossed for you Hadrian ... do a google search on ingredients to ensure there ain't anythin too dodgy in there and let us know how it goes for you.  I'm using a rather inexpensive moisturiser at the mo; gorgeous feet 7.49 euro in Ireland which Andy recommended here and it really is making a difference, altho I'm having uvb as well, and on a healthy, supplement boosted diet so its a combo of factors.

Wishing you well

Prednisolon (Corticosteroids) are used to provide relief for inflamed areas of the body. They lessen swelling, redness, itching, and allergic reactions. They are often used as part of the treatment for a number of different diseases, such as severe allergies or skin problems, asthma, or arthritis. Corticosteroids may also be used for other conditions as determined by your doctor.

Your body naturally produces certain cortisone-like hormones that are necessary to maintain good health. If your body does not produce enough, your doctor may have prescribed this medicine to help make up the difference.

Corticosteroids are very strong medicines. In addition to their helpful effects in treating your medical problem, they have side effects that can be very serious. If your adrenal glands are not producing enough cortisone-like hormones, taking this medicine is not likely to cause problems unless you take too much of it. If you are taking this medicine to treat another medical problem, be sure that you discuss the risks and benefits of this medicine with your doctor."

looks like an epic fail.....yet; i`ll try it.... :-[

Hadrian,

I shouldnt' think so.  I think it's Prednisolone, the corticosteroid drug with predominantly glucocorticoid and low mineralocorticoid activity, making it useful for the treatment of a wide range of inflammatory and auto-immune conditions  ... wiki answer : You are not allowed to view links. Why don't you try something completely natural instead that is said to be effective for P.  Saw this posted on a thread today and website is impressive with at least one saying that they had benefited .... have a peek, it's called Salcura

I tried to use the cow udder cream a number of years ago but my vet refused to sell it to me because it had not been adequately tested for humans.

In recent years some bright spark brought out Moo Goo, and a cosmetic version of Udder Cream - both of which are based on the same principle as the veterinary supply.

BTW: After reading your post I tried to login to comment but my username just would not work – after five attempts I suddenly realised I was trying to enter as MadCow – rather than MadCat  ;D

Hadrian, if the drug contains prednisolone then you will be taking the most potent corticosteriod you can get.  It will work wonders, but the side affects are huge.  I have been on pred now for nearly 2 years, weaned off once but had to go back on.

It will damge your bones eventually, shut your adrenal glands down, give you things like Addisons Disease and Cushings.  Not something to play with and definitely something that must be taken under doctors supervision.

Prednisolone is given to animals, my pup is on a course at the moment.

You really really shouldnt be taking this med off your own bat without supervision.  This med can do serious damage, including death.  It interacts with many other medicines, so you need to be very careful about anything else you are taking.  Anything more than 5 days of taking this med means that you must be weaned off it  slowly or else you run the risk of your adrenal glands failing.  Coming off prednisolone is possibly one of the hardest things you will ever do, the side effects are that huge.

You have not said how much is contained with in the med.  Often animal meds have a much higher dosage than would normally be given to us.

I cant stress enough how dangerous it is what you are doing.  This is really not advisable. You should not be playing around with these sorts of drugs.
