depends on what you mean by "home" remedies - the biggest help with the pain (of split skin I'm guessing?) is to stay moisturised - I use Lush "Dreamcream" as a moisturiser

Hey,
First off I would check that the shampoo and soaps you're using contain no sls, sles etc. Go for all natural.

Also dont forget to stay constantly hydrated and have your minimum of 8 glasses of water each day. Have baths, not showers and make sure they're not too hot so as to dry your skin out.

Finally, when you come out of the bath, lightly tap dry your skin, then moisturise with glycerine cream.

Will not be a remedy in its own right, but have heard it suggested as part of doing multiple things to help your skin: When taking a bath a a couple of chamomile teabags to the water. Chamomile offers some soothing properties, and this is one way to make use of it and reduce irritation from the water.

Good advice from the Pguy, I have been badly affected up to 85% coverage in the past and it was difficult to stay functioning. Drinking lots of water is an enormous help and also keeps flushing out your body. Drink the water at room temperature not from the fridge as this will shock your system and core body temperature. I found an unlikely help in Squeez "tropical mix" juice. I used to feel quite good, almost glowing after drinking a litre of it. I am surprised your derm has not recommended you to be admitted to hospital is you have 85% coverage (85% skin loss) as you are risking developing erythrodermic psoriasis. The latter if it develops can be life threatening. One of the main warning signs is your bodies inability to maintain correct body temperature. I hope you get over this difficult stage very soon.
