Cool, thanks Totoro.

Just one more thing - is this shake a replacement for your meals or are you taking it in conjunction with breakfast, lunch and dinner?

Hi Tirez,

I'm having three meals a day as well as shakes. But the shakes are very filling
so my meals have got much smaller...and my midday meal tends now just to be
a shake and some fruit or fish.

Breakfast is porridge or oat based cereals. No wheat.

Evening meal is anything but not for me potatoes, nightshades, no wheat again etc.
I may now add chicken to the banned list as 3 days of it made skin flare up...its now
looking much better after not eating chicken for the last 2 days. That may be just me as I always
though chicken was good to eat.

Anyway give the shakes a go. You will get used to them very quickly.
I would recomend cutting a weeks worth of veg up once a week and then freezing
it as daily portions for mix as it makes it all alot easier! Dont have to chop everyday.

I take two half pint containers of it to work in a small cool bag...i prefer it cold...tastes
more like a nice smoothie. Its sparked some interest at work, but I just tell em its
a wierd diet im trying out. The hardest bit has been cutting out sandwiches really,
as they where so conveniant.

good luck!

Well I've been  on this 'diet' / food regime about 10 days now
and i have to say that i am hooked.

The psoriasis on my arms and elbows has gone! the rest of
my body...legs mainly still has psoriasis - but its very thin and
not sheading much skin...if any. Thats going from a stage
where the skin was very red and thick and sheding all the time.
( Im hoping that at this rate most of my skin will be clear in about
4 + weeks!!)

To be honest i am very amazed by the results and if it turns out
that it is just some food items and lack of Vit D3 then I really
wish that someone had told me earlier.

It isnt an easy diet to stick to. And today I gave in and had a milky
cappacino - bad idea. the milk almost made me retch.....very very strange
as before i LOVED milk, and cheese.....Im finding Rice milk the best
alternative...dont like soya milk in tea much.

So anyway I really would love someone to let me know if they have tried
anything like this. I know that theres lots of forum stuff here on
the 'Barney' Vit D3 diet...but cant find anything about this food
regime.

At some point i may be keen to post some pics somwhere to show the
fact that its working...and believe me I have never wanted to show my
psoriasis covered skin before...but thats how happy and how much I
believe this method is working!!!

PS: I have just added an elbow photo to show progress in my gallery pics

N0.1 - OK for all those asking here is EVERYTHING I know about diet.....(Original is in Excel file)

Bottled or Filter tap water. Never straight tap water!
NO Wheat, Dairy (I still use a little butter and have Rice milk instead of cows milk) NO Nightshades (potato, peppers, tomatoes) Avoid Spicy foods and alcohol! (I still have the odd beer and cider).

Barney Formula:
1000-1400iu in summer and 2000-4000 iu winter, of vitamin D or D3.
1 x small multivitamin
1 x ibuprofen 200mg (I take half tablet at night)
1 x vitamin B12 (I just eat Marmite)
1 x folic acid
1 x 50-200mcg selenium
3-6 x capsules fish oil 1000mg (I take 2 – 3)
2 x flax 1000mg capsules (I just add flax oil to shake recipe below)

Shake/Food Recipe:

Vegetables:
Romaine lettuce, Carrots, Celery, Sweet Potatoes (and/or yams), Squash, Zucchini, Broccoli, Cauliflower, Onions, Parsley* (I’m leaving out parsley!)
You want equal amounts of everything except for lettuce, Parsley & onions. Use about 3 times the amount of lettuce, small amount Onion/Parsley.

Basically you will be filling the blender about half way with chopped Romaine lettuce and then adding the other ingredients.

Fruit:
Anything but citrus, peaches or berries. I recommend Pineapple, Bananas, Pears or Grapes. Or a combination of them all.

Other ingredients:
Unsweetened apple juice
Unsweetened soy milk (I use Rice milk)
Olive oil
Green Tea bags
Cinnamon (I don’t put this in as I read somewhere it not good for psoriasis)
Honey & Fresh lemons

Preparation:
If you try to cut all this stuff up every day you will soon tire. It is also very difficult to make fresh salads with these ingredients and expect to consume them every day. The amount of chewing required would be time consuming enough. So here is my stern recommendation to help you with the process.
FIRST: Chop up all the vegetables into small sized pieces (a size that will be friendly to the blender that will be turning it into a liquid).
SECOND: Wash all these vegetables well in a colander or other type of good volume strainer.
THIRD: Shake off as much water as possible, mix all vegetables evenly and bag in some large zip-lock freezer bags and store in freezer.
NOTE: I highly recommend you make enough to cover your needs for about a week. This amounts to about 2 large heads of lettuce and every thing else relative to that. This saves time, insures a good cold shake each day and keeps your vegetables fresh.
ANOTHER NOTE: You can chop, wash, bag and freeze your fruits too but I actually prefer to cut and add fruit in fresh.
You can also use pre-frozen fruits or vegetables from the store.
Making the shake:
Add your frozen vegetable mix to the empty blender leaving only enough room for your fruits.

Making the shake:

Add your frozen vegetable mix to the empty blender leaving only enough room for your fruits.
Add a good handful of your choice of fruits. This should completely fill the blender.
Add 1 1/2 cups of the apple juice
Add 1/2 cup of the soy , rice or oat
Add clean fresh water up to the level of vegetables (you may need to add more later for consistency)
Add the contents of one Green Tea Bag.
Add 3 tablespoons of the olive oil (you really don't taste it)
Add one 2 teaspoons of ground cinnamon (I don’t put this in as I read somewhere it not good for psoriasis)
Add 1 full tablespoon of honey or pure maple syrup
Squeeze in the juice of about 1/2 of a lemon.
Add flax-seed (2 table spoons raw seed or 1 tablespoon flax-flour or 1/2 table spoon flax-oil)
Put the blender lid on securely, blend on medium for about 1 minute (or until contents are smooth).
Add water as needed for consistency then blend on high for another 1-2 minutes. We want it to become a smooth liquid.
