I have been very bad and just had a mocha coffee and 10 chocolate digestives

YUMMY

Although eventually you will discover what is more important to YOU:

Bad food = P flare skin.

OR

Good food = clear skin.

I fell off the wagon SO many times too  ;D

I think the clear skin is more important, but sometimes a little voice in my head says "a small treat can't hurt"... and then the small treat turns into a face stuffing session :(

Don't beat yourself up hs - it's done now. Just get back on the waggon :). I've been having some dates as a treat.

I've just bought some soy yoghurt with lots of biffidy stuff in it. Yummy indeed. Wonder if I can make soy yog in my easi yo?

Thanks very much for the advice madcat. I've taken it on board. I have been trying to balance bad fatigue, which makes my skin burn more with not doing too much.  Using brochli, colliflower and spinach and kale, these have already been cut before i bought them of course. Also, I note in your (excellent) juicing thread, your experience ithat taste is badly affected if you don't drink staright away, where as my experience is that the smoothies taste fab on both days.
I love the look of that blender and I can see long term that might be worth going for. But don't have much spare cash at the mo. I've stored the info on it though. I'm loving the smoothies so much that I think this may well be a long term thing what ever the results on my skin.
I try and take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once.

Hi purple phish
I'm not sure how they make soya yoghurt.
If the dairy uses lactose as substrate for bacterial fermentation not sure how that works with soya.
Could be worth a try with UHT soya milk but you obviously can't use dried milk to thicken.

Hi all , when you start this be strict to get The results you need.I found once i cleared my p i stuck to the plan in the week and left the shakes and vits alone at the weekend , skin still good so then started slowly introducing certain food types , even had a takeaway at weekends...so my advice is stick to it at first then slowly slowly try adding more in your diet, however long it takes its worth it to have normal skin  ;)

Glad I am not alone on this one.

 ;D

I highly suggest you buy the following book:

These are healthy treats - flour, gluten, dairy and refined sugar free - but still taste sensational.

I have just discovered I am intolerant to Chlorine  ::)

While other parts of my body has cleared using this shake diet my scalp tended to get worse or only improve slightly. This is maybe why after I wash my hair the flaking the next day is horrible.

It has been suggested that I buy a shower filter that removes chlorine and drink filtered water (I have been doing this for ages). I have purchased the shower filter for my home. I will let you guys know if I see improvement with my scalp.

I did the green smoothie for a while but honestly did not enjoy it and instead i am lightly wilting the greens in a little olive oil and garlic. I enjoy eating them more and can eat quite a bit  that way. Do you think I am still getting the same benefit?

If you are enjoying it then by all means keep eating it - it sounds yummy and healthy.

You will no doubt get some health benefits from it, as spinach, unheated olive oil and garlic are all really good health wise.

But you won't be getting quite the same benefit, so I don't think it will help that much with your P clearance.

If you already like spinach, you are already half way there to enjoying a GS.

Just add spinach, a cup of filtered water or water from a fresh coconut to a blender. Add a fresh sweet fruit of your choice (i.e.) mango, strawberries, dragon fruit, banana, etc... Blend. And that is it.

As well as doing the shake that totoro mentions in this post, I would also suggest having a GS (or juice) every day too.

Basically you need to eliminate your triggers and get as much nutrients into your body as you can - so more the merrier.

I am having a GS every day and a green juice every day (plus the carrot juice every day as normal) and my skin is looking better than ever.

Plus I am going to start drinking fresh coconut water every day - once I get a foolproof plan for opening the ruddy coconuts ;D Coconut oil is renowned for helping P, so I wonder about the benefits of drinking the water too. I don't have any P patches, so it is obviously impossible to test this myself, but somebody with patches may want to research the idea and try it out!?

Breakfast is the best time for a GS because it tends to give you so much energy and clarity.

It would actually also help anyone who is fatigued and anyone who has food cravings. A GS will give you an abundance of energy within a matter of weeks. I have had 500mls - 750mls every morning this week and can already feel my energy levels rising. And it helps you stop craving things like refined sugar (i.e.) chocolate digestives.

Join the club.  :(

I can't swim at the local public pool anymore because of this reason.

And I only have short 3 minute showers, because the shower water is really chlorinated in an over-the-top way.

Yes, a water filter for your shower head and taps is a great idea.

I have a filter on my taps but not on the shower head (I wear a shower cap most days to protect my scalp), so I would be keen to know how well your shower head filter works. I have been meaning to buy one for ages.

Ok, you got me back to wanting to do the Green Smoothie again...I did
the spinach, romaine lettuce and banana one with coconut water...when I first started and liked it..but when I started adding other greens like kale, chard, broccoli rab (the worst one of all) I couldn't stand it. I'll stick to the spinach and romaine and see if I can get back on track with it. As for the coconut water, I use Vita Coco. it's 100% pure no additives. You can get it on Amazon. Opening coconuts is a bit too much for me. The coconut water really helps the flavor. I've used coconut oil...cold pressed organic...for my P before and it was very soothing...but it didn't get rid of it. How much spinach to you put in one smoothie?
