Hello everyone!!! Iīm on day 4 of the shake and feeling a lot better, still no change of the P, but I suppose it will be at least a month before I see some change, I did take pictures thought so hopefully I will be able to share the change with you once I see them!

I live in Venezuela and I cant find UNSWEEATED applejiuce anywhere  :( I certainly donīt want to use regular apple juice since it is loaded with sugr and the "light" apple juice will just have less or sweetners......

Any suggestions? Should I just use apple then and more water?

Thanks for your help! ::)

maybe lazza & totoro can shed some light on the unsweetened apple juice - i would say get the best you can that contain as little sugar as poss

good luck with the diet - just keep with it i certainly had a reaction on the 1st 2 weeks - but this is known to happen - be sure to stay off the alcohol im sure thats a trigger for me

Apple juice...well I confess to using the cheapest own brand that
i can find in Asda! It is unsweetened. But basically pure apple juice made
from concentrate...so no sugars added.

I use it purely for flavour and to dilute the shakes.

You could just juice or blend some apples with water just as well.

I also recomend filtering all tap water or buying mineral water.
I tend to drink mineral water but use filtered tap water for cups of
tea, cooking etc.

Again im not sure how important this is but 'taste' wise a cup of tea
now made with unfiltered water tastes awful as does water fresh from the tap!
(the chemical smell is amazingly high...we dont have flouride added here as yet, but theres
something chemically in it)

RE some past comments: Steelem - do keep moisturising! I mix n match various things, but like doublebase
and sea buckthorn best.

Ban all smelly soaps and underarms and perfumes...as much as you can. There are very good dead sea or
goat milk soaps about that are kinder to skin and aqueous cream is a good shower soap.
Im sure it is helping me.

As far as amount of blended shake goes I am blending a runny but thick blend of 1500ml per day which is
about 2.5 pints i think?

mimina82, welcome.  Regarding apple juice, I actually stopped using it a few weeks ago.  Even when I did use it I only used perhaps 100 ml (unsweetened apple juice) in each shake.  I used to also alternate between apple juice and pear juice.

Now the reason I stopped using fruit juice is because they are too sweet, even if they are 100% unsweetened juice.  My strategy is to make the shake only sweet enough to be palatable.  And so I simply put in limited quantities of pineapple chunks, berries and/or a banana to achieve this.  Therefore I recommend if you cannot find unsweetened apple juice then go with filtered water and fresh (or frozen) fruit instead.

totoro, steelem: it sounds like my shakes, at 2 pints each, are puny compared to yours.  Admittedly my shakes are very thick but I like them this way.  I can also consume the entire shake in one sitting, albeit it takes perhaps 20-30 minutes.

mine are probably a fair bit more runny than yours Lazza, i def couldnt drink it
all in one sitting, hence why i spread it over the day. for me this also has the added
benefit of stopping me 'snacking' which i used to do a lot of!

I've just started on the shakes and when I bought everything I forgot the apple juice so I just added an apple and water.  It was fine.

Hi,

Thats sounding positive to me, fingers crossed for you. :)

Lake of flakiness is good, as is the less red within the centre of plaques.
Mine cleared in a similar way....from within the centre of plaque spreadin out
to the stubborn edges....not sure if this the same for everyone?

The less flaky skin must mean the new grownth of P slowing down,

good luck,

T
