Anyone tried raw broccoli?
« on: May 30, 2008, 07:29:34 PM »
I have and i like it!

I have a quite bit with my evening meal, seems like a nice natural thing to share with you...i think it may work by doing something for your gut mucus (yum!) and the natural vitamin c is good for the collagen in your capillaries (the things which, when in trouble, make your p patches red!).....i think....

that is all.

From what I've read about diet and p, all darker green veggies are good for it---broccoli is great, as well as bok choi, spinach, good rich leafy lettuces (not iceberg), things like that. Actually just eating lots of veggies is good, and helps aid your elimination process, which is also good!

Great that you're having success...

i think it loses some of it's nutrients when it's cooked, so maybe it's more nutritious/healthy when it's raw?

also it could be something to do with the fibre in it, fibre is good for your digestive system, and maybe cooking it effects that aspect of it?

i'm not really sure about it all, but i think it couldn't hurt to give it a try?

but always wash it first!!  ;)

yeah i think fibre is good as it stops food sitting for too long in your gut, which isn't good for you, it may be this kind of thing which is bad for your skin, as 'toxins' are produced if food stays in you for too long i think..

also broccoli has vitamin c and calcium in it for example so is healthy just for those reasons  :)

Must be something good in it.

My cat robs some when I am preparing it and runs off growling, not letting anyone near as if he has a mouse!   ;D
