OO Paul, am sad for you. Of course you want to stay with your friends till the end of the game and leave like everyone else but can't risk being in more pain due to skin cracking etc on back of legs. It is so important to moisturise daily, I use diprobase which is one of those oily ones.
The alternative forum has information on diet and how it relates to P. Of course everyone is different and while some have 100% success with this, the hereditary factor for others (like me) means that it might not totally clear. However, I am hopeful and am on the juicing regime which means I get lots more than my recommended 5 fruit/veg per day and get them in concentrated fresh form which can only be good for me. Alcohol is certainly bad for mine, as is chocolate and coffee.
I would suggest you watch your diet and see what may cause your P to worsen. Also try to avoid stressful situations or worrying about it - I've seen my Dad just get on with life and P is not at all obvious, in fact even in short sleeves it's hardly noticeable ... and his attitude has a lot to do with it. He is, honestly, not bothered. I wish I could be like him.
I wish you luck with avocado, they are rather fattening tho but there's some real goodness in them. Make sure you eat them when ripe - if hard, leave them for a few days to soften.
And have a look at the juicing thread by MadCat and the diet-related one by Totoro as both are absolutely excellent and provide food for thought !
Hugs
