Bentonite Clay
« on: October 02, 2011, 04:07:38 PM »
Just started trying this in my baths to see how I get on. I know little lost has been trying it recently, has anyone else tried this and how did you get on?

The things I've noticed so far, it makes the bath very slippy, really makes you want to go for a wee, and it is very drying on the skin after a bath!

Thanks

I thought Bentonite clay was meant to be ingested as it is meant to pull inpurities out of your body, like in the in the P&B shakes psylium husk and bentonite clay.

I've been adding it to hot water as the bath pours and using my hand to mix it as the bath fills its been disolving very good the clay I have.

I've been drinking clay water for a few months now and use clay in the shower rather than soap. It hasn't cleared my skin, but I've got a lot going on as have recently had a baby, but I do notice that whenever I start a course of a few days of drinking clay my skin immediately calms down and I feel better.

I haven't tried it in the bath just in the shower and I find it makes my skin (not my psoriasis, that's far too stubborn) but the rest of my skin really soft and not as dry. I think there is something in this clay stuff and is the only soap type product I have ever used that doesn't make my skin go bright red and itchy after I wash so that's good enough for me. I'm not sure it will clear my psoriasis but I just like how gentle it is on my skin and it's certainly not making anything worse!
