lol Ellie, mish mash is good :o it makes things even more confusing but can hardly ever be avoided. It would be great if the alts were helping more than the mtx! Something is helping me too but again the presence of 'mish mash' does not give me too much clarity to exactly what is the most significant helper.

Interesting regarding the steroid injections...not sure whether I had tria or pred in the past, they just drained and jabbed away! So triamcinolone is stronger Ellie? If my knee needs it I will be asking for that.

You love your yellow hands they are part of you now ;D

Hi btp
GPs usually use methylprednisolone as it comes ready mixed with lidocaine so it's easier for them.
The triamcinolone is longer acting and it's generally what they use at the hospital but it doesn't come ready mixed so if you ask your GP to get some for you make sure he mixes it with lidocaine prior to injection.
It definitely seems more effective

Thanks Ellie,

It must have been triamcinolone, it was mixed by my reumy every time I have had it.... it goes cloudy when mixed? I have never had a steroid done at my docs surgery.

Cheers btp

Here it is, the beginning of the cold season in NJ and I have not continued with my Curcumin treatment since July of this year.  Guess what, I am having a flair up under the arm pits again.  Just ordered another supply of 1000 Mg's of Curcumin from Aglesscures.com to get back on track.  I don't know why I keep doing this every year. I guess to see if this stuff really works for me.  I will post again when my flair ups get under controll again.  I still believe that this product works for me. :)

Here it is November 29,2010 and I am still waiting for my supply of Curcumin to arrive.  I contacted the company and they advised that the product has been on back order, but expect it to arrive by the end of the week.  I am supprised that there haven't been any posts since I last visited.

Well it's December 21,2010 and I finally got my supply of 1000mg caplets of Super Curcumin with Bioperine and I am back on my regimen.  I still have the flair up under the arms, but I expect it will be better in a couple of weeks.  I think that I might not get off this supplement in the future.

I have some Indian friends that gave me a bag of Turmeric to use in cooking soups and I am learning to make Indian food that contains Turmeric.  I will post again in a couple of months and let everyone know how I am doing.
